Q: Hi Bob...enjoy your show...what I can understand of it. I know you are a very patient man with our learning experiences on computers. Question: Is it o.k. to choose MSN's start page instead of keeping my Earthlink start page. Somehow, I just liked the setup, but not to the extent that I want to mess up my computer or change my e-mail address. I thought perhaps I'd have to switch to Outlook Express for my e-mail address, and I just can't change one more time!!!!! Thanks for your answer.
A:
A
start page is something that you choose, and does not have anything to do with
who your Internet service provider is. The question you've asked is like asking
if you buy your dresses at Channel 44, do you also have to buy your shoes
there because they'll match? I'm
sure you can find some at K-mart that will match just fine, ya' know what I
mean?
To set your start page (or home page as it is correctly called) find the page you want, then double-click the Internet Options icon in the Control Panel (you can access this from your web browser, but I don't know which version you have). On the first tab of the Internet Options, you'll see a button that says, "Use Current". Click that and your home page is now whatever page you have open within your browser. That's it. Have fun!
