Just a brief update on where we stand at this point.  As I’m sure you’ve noticed the newsletter has a new name.  Guru News reflects the name of our group’s new website, www.thepcgurus.com.  It’s in an interim stage right now but it does include links to the chat room and bulletin board as well as a link to Bob’s email (which is still bob@iglou.com).

As development of the site progresses it will begin to look a bit more like what you were used to with the 84 Online site with links to essential tools, tips and fun stuff as well as tech news.

On the broadcast media side Bob is currently in negotiations for a daily TV computer program and Art Maley and Matt Mercurio are working toward a weekly radio show.  Both shows, if the efforts come to fruition, will be supported by the old 84 Online crew.

Bob is still working toward his real estate license plus he’s started offering computer security and networking services to businesses and individuals.  If you know Bob you know he can’t stand to have more than 12 free minutes on any given day ;) You can get all the details and contact information at www.bobsokoler.com.

The newsletter will fire up with weekly editions again starting next Thursday, June 3rd.  Same writers and same structure but, without the corporate presence to consider, we may be a bit more biting with our commentaries.  For some reason as I typed that last line I had a vision of a couple thousand spit takes.  Wonder why? ;)

Basically next week you’ll get the rants, news, downloads, tips and answers to your questions that you’ve come to expect over the last few years.

As the little girl in “Poltergeist 2” said… “They’re back…” J
